Description of current proposal: The Washington State Department of Transportation

(WSDOT) proposes to construct a decant facility to stockpile and process materials that may be

solid waste, such as sediment and debris removed from catch basins, underground pipes, and vaults as well as street sweepings. The facility will consist of a 5,000 square foot (SF) concrete slab, a catch basin, an oil/water separator, and a bioinfiltration pond

98837. NE 1/4 of Section 35, Township 18 N, and Range 27 E, W.M. in Grant County.

Lead agency: Washington State Department of Transportation

The Washington State Department of Transportation, the lead agency for this proposal, has

determine that it does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment. An

environmental impact statement (EIS) is not required under RCW 43.21C.030 (2)(c). This

decision was made after review of a completed environmental checklist and other information on

the file with the lead agency. This information is available to the public on request.

This DNS is issued under WAC 197-11-340(2); the lead agency will not act on this proposal for 14 days from the date below. Comments must be submitted by January 21, 2015.
