FUNDING NOTICE
Grant County, Washington has been awarded federal funds, through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food & Shelter National Board Program; in the amount of $46,585 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county.
Grant County, Washington has been awarded federal funds, through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food & Shelter National Board Program; in the amount of $46,585 to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county.
A Local Board comprised of nine non-profit and governmental organizations will determine how the funds awarded to Grant County are to be distributed among the emergency food and shelter programs run by local service providers in the county.
Under the terms of the grant from the National Board, local organizations chosen to receive funds must: 1) be a private voluntary non-profit organization or unit of government, 2) be eligible to receive federal funds, 3) have an accounting system, 4) practice nondiscrimination, 5) have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs, and 6) if a private voluntary organization, have a voluntary board. Qualifying organizations are encouraged to apply.

Funding requests must be received by 11:30am on January 29, 2015, using one of the following methods: 1: FAX to 509-754-6098, 2) mail to PO Box 37, Ephrata, WA 98823, or 3) hand deliver to Grant County Courthouse – Commissioner’s Office. All methods need to be directed to the attention of Maria Lugar, EFSP Local Board Coordinator.
