MOSES LAKE - The Moses Lake Lioness Club recently made a sizable donation of supplies to the Grant County Animal Outreach.

According to the Lioness Club, the Grant County Animal Outreach is often in need of supplies essential to their day-to-day operations and reached out to the Lioness Club for support.

"We are absolutely thankful for the gifts that the Lioness brought to us. It will provide a lot of comfort and enjoyment for the animals," said Carmon Derting, of Grant County Animal Outreach.

The GCAO, located at 6725 Randolph Rd. NE in Moses Lake, is often tapped out at maximum capacity and relies on generous donations from community members to accommodate the pets they house for adoption.

"We purchased bedding, canned and dry food for both dogs and cats, cleaning and medical supplies. The weight of the food alone was over 200 pounds. Most of us are pet owners and we love giving back to organizations in our community," said Lioness Frogg McMains.

The Lioness Club of Moses Lake is a non-profit organization that sponsors scholarships and numerous other causes throughout the area.

All of the club's community support endeavors are funded by their Spaceburger booth, which can be seen and visited every year at the Grant County Fair.
