Naomi D. Brown
1938-2015
Naomi D. Brown, 76, passed away on January 1, 2015. She died peacefully in her sleep of natural causes. She was residing with her daughter in Caldwell, Idaho. Naomi was born April 19, 1938 at Polson, Montana. Her parents were Harden and Delsa (Wright) Lybbert.
Naomi graduated from Moses Lake High School. She graduated from Dental Hygienist school in Seattle. She grew up in Moses Lake, Washington. She and her ex-husband, Don J. Brown lived in Moses Lake where they reared their seven children. Don was a successful potato farmer. They moved to Hermiston, Oregon where they built another potato farm. After their divorce, Naomi lived in Utah, Idaho, and Washington. She was a soft-spoken woman. She was known for her compassion and helping others who were ill or needy. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Naomi was preceded in death by her parents (Harden and Delsa Lybbert), spouse (Sterling Brinehold), and brother (Clifford W. Lybbert). She is survived by her former husband (Don J. Brown) of Yuma, AZ., siblings: Thelda Evans of Moses Lake, Enoch (Donna) Lybbert of Cheney, WA, Dennis (Rita) Lybbert of Colbert, WA, and Melodie Lybbert of Spokane Valley, WA. Children: LeeAnn (Dale) Lybbert of Moses Lake, WA; Renee (Willie) Sherwood of Riverton, UT; Susan (Russ) Jorgensen of Preston, ID; Gary (Sheri) Brown of Umatilla, OR; Alena (McKay) Jensen of Saratoga, UT; Teresa (Jerrot) Rudd of Boise, ID, and Malia (Jared) Reynolds of Caldwell, ID. She had 46 grandchildren and 62 great-grandchildren with 4 more on the way.
A viewing will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Nelson Chapel. 1515 South Division Street, Moses Lake, WA. Funeral will be held on Monday, January 5, at the Nelson Chapel.
