Export seminar to help potential businesses

MOSES LAKE - Small business owners in the Basin can learn more about exporting their products during the Eastern Washington Export Readiness Seminar in Moses Lake next month.

The two-day seminar takes place March 19 and 20 at the Columbia Basin Technical Skills Center. It will be hosted by the Washington Small Business Development Center for Adams and Grant counties.

Participants will learn how to expand their sales with export strategies and learn about the risks and rewards of doing international business, according to the SBDC. Seminar topics include the basics of export readiness, keys to market selection, and basics of a good export business plan, among others.

The seminar runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day. The cost will be $50 per person.
