| February 24, 2015 12:45 PM

April 3, 1939 - February 20, 2015

Jerry Ninnemann, a gentle, caring and loving husband, father, and grandfather went to heaven on Feb. 20, 2015. Jerry was born in Plymouth, Wisc. on April 3, 1939 to William Everett Ninnemann and Marcella Kirst and was the second oldest of four brothers: Tom, David and Phillip Ninnemann.

Jerry was a patriotic American and proudly served his country aboard the USS Hancock as an electrician and was honorably discharged in 1962. After his Navy service and a short stint as a fireman in Wisconsin, he moved out to the Pacific Northwest, where he met and married his one and only true love Joyce.

Jerry, with Joyce by his side, shared many adventures, created many wonderful memories and raised a family together over 47 1/2 years of marriage in the Manastash Canyon near Ellensburg, Zillah and, for his final years, in Moses Lake, Wash.

Over the course of Jerry's life, he was a successful tugboat crewman, fireman, administrative electrician, teacher, orchardist, storyteller, and grandkid babysitter. Of all his accomplishments, he was most proud of his three children and their spouses: Joe Ninnemann (Margaret), Jennifer Ninnemann (Tom Dresser), and Jeff Ninnemann (Kim) and his four grandchildren: Eli, Isaac, Peyton and Jordyn. Jerry's top priority in life was supporting his wife and family in any endeavor they tackled from rabbits, horses and goats, without complaint. He was truly happy spending his days with his grandchildren. Jerry will be remembered for his selfless nature, compassion, and generous heart.
