Notice is hereby given that a Discretionary Use Permit application and SEPA Checklist were received by Grant County on January 16, 2015 from The Meridian Group (Designated Contact: Andy King, 1910 North 41st Street, Seattle, WA 98103), was found to be technically complete on February 3, 2015. Grant County expects to issue a Determination of Non-Significance for this proposal and the Optional DNS Process in WAC 197-11-355 is being used. This may be the only opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal. A copy of the subsequent threshold determination may be obtained upon request.
PROJECT: Construct a 195 foot tall wireless communication lattice tower. The initial array will consist of 12 panel antenna mounted to the top of the lattice tower and 2 microwave dish antenna mounted below the panel antennas. The tower is designed to accommodate 3 additional future communications providers. There will also be associated ground equipment located within the fenced 80' x 80' lease area. LOCATION: The proposed tower will be located at 10835 Rd.
36 NE, Coulee City, WA. The site is located in the SE 1/4 of Section 2, Township 24 North, Range 28 East, W.M., Grant County, WA. Parcel #17-1406-000. ZONING: Agriculture.
PUBLIC HEARING: None. CONSISTENCY STATEMENT: This proposal is subject to
and shall be consistent with Grant County Code, International Building Code, and International Fire Code. Copies of application materials (File #15-6038) are available from Tyler Lawrence, Grant County Planning Department, 264 West Division Avenue, PO Box 37, Ephrata, WA 98823, (509) 754-2011, ext. 2536. Office hours: 8 am-12 noon, 1-4 pm, M-F. Comments must be submitted to the Planning Department no later than 5 pm on February 24, 2015. Comments should be as specific as possible and may be mailed, hand-delivered, or sent by facsimile. All persons, agencies, or tribes have the right to comment, receive notice, participate in any hearings, request a copy of the final decision, and/or appeal the decision as provided by law and County Code. This may be the only opportunity to comment on the above listed materials.
