QUINCY — One Quincy teen was taken to a hospital after a mid-morning 2-car collision on Highway 28 about 11 miles east of East Wenatchee on Dec. 11.

Another teen, the driver of the second car, was cited for “following too close” by the Washington State Patrol. Neither drugs nor alcohol was a factor, the WSP reported. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

According to the State Patrol, both vehicles were westbound on 28 when the crash occurred. Addison L. Soelter, 19, of Quincy was driving the lead car, a silver 2007 Toyota Camry.

The State Patrol said Soelter slowed for traffic, and his car was struck from the rear by a 2007 Ford Mustang Convertible driven by Ashlyn P. Kirk, 16 of Quincy.

Soelter was injured. He was transported by ambulance to Confluence Health in Wenatchee. His vehicle sustained reportable damage, the WSP said. It was impounded by NCW Towing.

According to the State Patrol, Kirk was not injured. Her vehicle had reportable damage, and it was impounded by NCW Towing.
