ROYAL CITY — The Royal City Library will be hosting a winter reading program and a Makerspace program in December.

According to Librarian Shannon Stewart, children of all ages are welcomed to join the Winter Reading Program.

They will receive a prize for every hour spent reading library books. Their names will be entered in a weekly prize drawing. The program will run until Jan. 28.

For people who like to make stuff, the North Central Regional Libraries Mobile Makerspace will be at the library on Dec. 22 from 3:30-5 p.m.

Teens are invited to design and create their own Christmas ornaments with the EggBot.

The EggBot is an art robot that can draw on spherical or egg-shaped objects.

The program is made possible by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, The Washington Library and North Central Regional Library.
