Erma Sanders

Longtime Moses Lake resident Erma Sanders, passed away in La Quinta, Calif. Dec. 4, 2015. Erma was born in Laramie, Wyo, Dec. 1, 1918.

Erma was active in many clubs and associations during her lifetime in Moses Lake. She has been a member of Daughters of the American Revolution for 14 years and currently belonged to the AARP, where she hosted a booth at the Grant County Fair well into her 90s. She enjoyed the annual flower booth competition at the fair as a member of the Daisy Mae’s Garden Club. She was a member of the Samaritan Hospital Auxiliary, and worked hard decorating floats for the Moses Lake Float and Festival Committee.

Erma is preceded in death by her husband, M.C. “Sandy” Sanders, her daughter Patricia Sime and her grandson Jason Sime.

She is survived by her daughter Sherry Mouncer and her husband James of La Quinta, Calif., her grandson Terry Sime of Beaverton, Ore., and her great-granddaughter, Chelsey Sime also of Beaverton, Ore.; her sister Lea Smith of Moreno Valley, Calif.; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

No formal services will be held, as Erma’s ashes will be interred in the family niche in Tigard, Ore.
