MATTAWA — If you are looking for Seahawks stuff for Christmas and are especially interested in a one-of-a-kind vintage Steve Largent (80) Seahawks jersey, you may want to be first at the Cozy Comforts Bazaar this Saturday.

“Our Seahawk items will go fast,” said Diane Hanson, president of Cozy Comforts of South Grant County.

The Bazaar and Bake Sale plus Lunch, will get underway at 9 a.m. at the Sagebrush Senior Center. It will end around 1 p.m.

The Bazaar and Bake Sale is the primary fund-raising function of the year for Cozy Comforts. Cozy Comforts volunteers make comfort blankets and donate them to police, fire and other agencies that work with at-risk children.

“Lots of great Christmas presents to do your shopping right here,” Hanson said. In addition to the vintage Largent (80) Seahawks jersey, there will be Seahawks stocking hats, scarfs, tote bags, afghans, key chains, bracelets, slippers and much more.

Other items include quilted pot holders, microwave bowl with holders, scarfs, quilts, afghans dish cloths, kitchen towels and much more.

There will also be lots of good baked goods, cookies of all kinds, pies, cakes, cupcakes, candy, fudge, and snack items and much more.

“Also, don’t forget the lunch of hot chicken soup, crackers and dessert bar,” Hanson said.

The popular “granny table” will be loaded with one-of-a-kind, just-gotta-have-it bargains.

The raffle prizes will include a basket of gift cards, donations from local businesses, crocheted afghans and more items still coming in.

In addition, again this year there will be a silent auction including a gift basket of wine from Ginkgo Forest Winery, several unique afghans, two rounds of golf with a cart and much, much more.

Cozy Comforts is selling raffle tickets, at $1 each, for a basket of gift cards, wine donated by Milbrandt Vineyards, and many more items.

In the past six years, the Cozy Comforts volunteers have created more than 7,800 afghans, quilts and fleece blankets for children in need of a blanket hug.

“We depend entirely on the generosity of individuals, corporations and local companies to help us carry out this much-needed mission,” Hanson said. “We would love to see you at the sale on Saturday, December 5, from 9 a.m. to 1:00 to support our mission.”
