Jean Margaret Taylor

| December 1, 2015 12:45 PM

Jean Margaret Taylor, 66, of Goleta, Calif., left this earth on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015 at Serenity House in Santa Barbara, Calif. after nearly a year-long battle with cancer. She loved and will be missed by her son Jason Emery of Carnation, Wash.; son Corey (April) Emery of Olympia, Wash.; son Calvin (Melissa) Emery of Roy, Wash.; daughter Stephanie (Ryan) Lindsay of Bothell, Wash.; and ten grandchildren; her mother Friedel Taylor and sister Barbara (Arnold) Arnts, both of Ridgecrest, Calif., and sister Christina Taylor of Santa Barbara, Calif. She was preceded in death by her father Carl Taylor of Ephrata, Wash.

Jean graduated from Ephrata High School in 1967 and headed to Pacific Lutheran University to study nursing. After postponing her education to raise her family she began the career she had always dreamed of. Jean worked at Sansum Clinic for many years and was an active member at Coast Community Church of the Nazarene in Goleta, Calif. She touched the lives of everyone she served, her family, patients, church and all she met. She will never be forgotten.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Serenity House, through Visiting Nurse & Hospice Care Santa Barbara, or Coast Community Church.
