STORM DRAINAGE PROJECT - 2015

Sealed bids will be received at Civic Center Annex, 321 South Balsam, (P. O. Box 1579), Moses Lake, Washington 98837 until SEPTEMBER 17, 2015; 10:00AM, for the above-named improvement. Said bids will be opened and publicly read at that time. All bids shall be received before said opening time in sealed envelopes with STORM DRAINAGE PROJECT - 2015 marked plainly thereon.

All bids shall be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a postal money order, cashier's check, or bond in an amount equal to 5 percent of the maximum total amount of the bid. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract or furnish a satisfactory contract bond within the time stated in the specifications, the deposit shall be forfeited to the City.

Plans and specifications shall be obtained at the Civic Center Annex at the above address for a non-refundable fee of $35.00. Only bids from bidders who have purchased plans and specifications at the Civic Center Annex will be accepted. Copies of plans and specifications are on file for review at various construction councils.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Schedule A includes the construction of a grassy swale, a drywell at five locations, and replacement of eight storm drain manhole castings. Additive 1 would allow the installation of drywells at two additional locations. Additive 2 includes the construction of a storm water retention pond. This work will take place throughout the City of Moses Lake to reduce the stormwater capacity issues, outfalls, and drainage to the lake.

Estimated Project Cost: $115,000 base bid; $25,000 for Additive 1; $30,000 for Additive 2

The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids if such action is in the best interest of the City.
