Henry (Hank) Clayton Green
August 15, 1927 - August 2, 2015
Henry (Hank) Clayton Green, 87, passed away after a 13-year struggle with Alzheimer's, on Aug. 2, 2015, peacefully at home in Pasco, Wash., surrounded by family that loved him immensely.
He was born in Longview, Wash. on Aug. 15, 1927, the youngest child of Henry M. Green and Teresa Mae (Bowman) of Vancouver, Wash. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Henry is survived by his one daughter Suzzanne M. Green-Tast (Dennis Sr.), grandson Dennis Jr. (Liz), granddaughter Megann (Cesar) and great-grandchildren Devin, Zahaila and Cesar Jr.
In 1959, he married Phyllis L. Tyler (Fox) of Vancouver, Wash. After 13 years the marriage ended. They remained friends and co-parented their one daughter.
Henry proudly served in the US Army (two years) and in the US Navy (20 years) before retiring in the 1970s. He fought in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
In retirement, Henry often traveled from Vancouver to Moses Lake and Twisp Wash. to be near his sister Alta Bjork (Al) and nephews, but never staying in one place to long. In 2000, he made his final move to Pasco, Wash. to live with his daughter and family.
No services will be held, per his request.
