April 28, 1954 - August 8, 2015

Gail Lynn Jurgens Brown, 61, of Richland, passed away on Aug. 8, 2015 in Richland. She was born and raised in Ellensburg, Wash. on April 28, 1954. As a young lady, Gail enjoyed singing, was in the choir, and wrote poetry. She graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1972 where she not only excelled in scholastic achievements, but was well liked among her peers.

Gail was very proud of her children and their successes, and most of all becoming a grandmother to Alaina and Lennon. She valued her friendships that came along the way in the banking industry, whether it was peers, co-workers and employees alike. She was employed at Washington Mutual Bank and Gesa Credit Union, where consistently recognized as a leader amongst her peers. She was a devoted member of Bethel Church. Her love of travel and new experiences led her to London, Italy, Turkey, Mexico, as well as a motorcycle trip across the country, enjoying the southwest US and the landscapes it has to offer.

She dedicated herself to health, fitness and fun. Her smile and laugh was contagious and zest for life was infectious. The family has received many heartfelt messages and emails full of memories of Gail. Each one so loving and each expressing how Gail was an inspiration in their lives. Gail was baptized in the Columbia River on June 30, 2002. Her love of Christ was evident throughout her life and especially the last two years as she encountered many challenges. She never lost faith or hope. Her strength of character, class and grace served her until she left this world to join her Heavenly family.

Gail is survived by her son, Justin Brown and his wife Monica, and their children Alaina and Lennon Brown; daughter, Sheena Brown; mother, Shirley Mee and partner Jay Skellenger; brother, Dale Jurgens and his wife Kathy and their children Kevin and Quinn; sister, Joni Leininger and her son, Richard Bradley Leininger; sister, Karen Skellenger and her husband Steve; and countless friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Jurgens.
