Ruben I. Buenrostro Sr

Ruben I. Buenrostro Sr., 56, longtime Warden, Wash. resident, died suddenly and unexpectedly in his home Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2015. He was born Jan. 16, 1959 in Capomal, Nayarit, Mexico to Salvador Buenrostro Sr. and Ramona Ibarra.
He moved to the United States in the late 1970s. His first-born son is Luis Arturo. he was married in California to Grasiela Vivas and had four children: Ruben Jr, Yesenia (Herrera), Ricardo and Graciela. He remarried January 31, 2011 to Martha B. Mendez Murillo. He loved her children as his own: Leonardo, Anibal and Fatima Rodriguez Mendez. He was a fan of the Los Angeles Angels and the Mexican Soccer club Chivas de Guadalajara. He worked for McCain Foods located in Othello, Wash. as a mechanic. His job was his passion, his co-workers were his family, all viewed as sons or brothers as he spoke fondly of them at every opportunity. He was a prankster, always hiding their tools or doing some kind of mischief to them. He loved them. He was an avid recycler, metal mostly. He enjoyed fishing and grilling. Most of all he loved to tinker with all kinds of mechanical contraptions. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He attended services on Sundays in Moses Lake, as he liked the Mass in Spanish.
He is survived by his wife, children and many friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Salvador Buenrostro Sr.
Viewing will be from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. with Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11:30 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 12:00 noon, Monday, Aug. 10, 2015 in Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Warden, Wash., with Father Felix celebrating Mass.
Burial will be in Mexico.
