One of the most conspicuous sights at the Seed Cupboard Nursery this year is a big, new red barn.

ROYAL CITY - The annual Garden Party and Vintage Fair will be held on Saturday, April 25, at the Seed Cupboard Nursery.

"We are excited for what has become a fun event, especially for those who may be looking to add to their garden or landscaping projects, pick up a unique item for their home or garden or simply enjoy the country atmosphere," Seed Cupboard proprietor Lisa Villegas said.

The Seed Cupboard Nursery is located about a mile west of Royal City on Road H Southwest, about one-fourth mile north of Highway 26. The Garden Party and Vintage Fair will go from 9 a.m.-7 p.m.

The greenhouse will be overflowing with beautiful flowers, while the nursery will be stocked with a wide variety of trees, shrubs and perennials.

The Garden Party is not just about flowers, shrubs and trees. It also showcases the talents of other people in the community. It will host 10 talented vendors this year.

These will include De'Layed Chic and the Painted Petal with its upscale refurbished treasures. New vintage & refurbished vendors include Mint Queen, The Country Haven and J & K Rustics. There will be five other vendors offering their own unique brand of merchandise and services. These include Crafty Country Cait, Kim's Kreations, Kris's Skincare Studio, Younique by Sydney and Lottie's Shoppe.

As usual, the Garden Grill will be offering an excellent selection of food. It may be enjoyed in the outdoor nursery setting or in Seed Cupboard's new indoor seating area.

Proprietor Danielle Smith will be offering a Chicken Teriyaki Burger special, along with all of this year's new menu additions.

There will be customer favorites such as the Cowboy Burger, Club Sandwich, Oriental Chicken Salad and Three-Cheese Grilled Cheese and Creamy Tomato Basil Soup. And, of course, the signature homemade buns and chips will be offered.

In the new Seed Cupboard barn, there will be a medley of gardening tools and decor, greenhouse supplies, gift items, gourmet foods and treats.

Villegas is excited to offer wine for the first time, from four local wineries: Ginkgo Forest, Gard Vineyards, Cave B Estate Winery, and Foxy Roxy.

"We are excited for this year's Garden Party and Vintage Fair and are grateful to all who have supported us and look forward to seeing you as well as meeting new friends," Villegas said.
