Power lifting competition grateful for volunteers
Our power lifting meet last Saturday was a great success, and I have many people to thank for that.
A powerlifting group from Eastern Washington University came down from Cheney to judge for us, which was a big help.
I would like to thank all of the girls who helped out with working the table for each station. They kept the lifters on track, recording each lifter's weights attempted and lifted.
A big thank you to the mothers and volleyball girls who worked the concession stand and also worked in other capacities to make things run smoothly.
A huge thank you to Karen Lasen for putting together the hospitality lunch for all of the workers and coaches. She did a great job with the pulled pork, baked beans and coleslaw.
A number of former students were judges and spotters. Without all of their help, we would not have been able to make this a successful meet.
Hopefully the community support will grow so we can host another meet next year.
