Everyone invited to find Perfect Fit Day

| April 4, 2015 6:00 AM

ROYAL CITY - Royal High School's ninth- and 10th-grade students and their parents are invited to the first Finding the Perfect Fit Day on Friday, April 10. It will start at 6 p.m.

Eastern Washington will present a workshop during which students and parents will be able to determine where students should start their post-secondary educations.

EWU will lead a discussion of student needs and how to match them to colleges, large, small, community college, tech schools and so forth.

"This is the first time we've had an event of this kind," coordinator Valerie Rice said. "It will be a fun, interactive event that will answer many questions, and students and parents will be able to ask questions."

The evening will kick off with a little fun. Rice is encouraging students and parents to bring their favorite, perhaps world-famous, home-made salsa for a little competition.

The judges for the salsa contest will include community members and school staff. Prizes will be awarded to the top three salsa makers.
