NOTICE OF NOVEMBER 4, 2014 GENERAL ELECTION

The last date to register online, through the mail, transfer or update an existing registration is Monday, October 6th. First time voters can register in person until 5:00 pm Monday, October 27th at the Franklin County Auditor’s Office, 1016 N. 4th Ave., Pasco.

Military voters are exempt from voter registration deadlines.

Voters requiring assistance: Election ballots, registration forms, voting assistance for elderly and disabled persons, Spanish language and other election and voter registration information are available at the Franklin County Auditor’s Office, you may call 509.545.3538, or visit www.co.franklin.wa.us/elections.

Senate Bill 6505

The legislature eliminated, without a vote of the people, agricultural excise tax preferences for various aspects of the marijuana industry, costing an estimated $24,903,000 in the first ten years, for government spending.

The Franklin County Auditor will conduct a logic and accuracy test at 10:00am on the 28th day of October, 2014 at the Franklin County Election Center, 116 N 3rd Ave., Pasco, for the purpose of checking ballot tabulating equipment for the General Election in Franklin County, State of Washington, to be held November 4, 2014. The logic and accuracy test is open to the political parties, the press, and the public.

The Canvassing Board of Franklin County will meet on Monday, November 24th at 1:30pm to review the Auditor’s abstract of votes for validity and direct preparation of the Certificate of Election. The signing of the official certification will begin on Tuesday, November 25th, 2014 at 1:30pm. Both meetings will take place at the Franklin County Election Center, located at 116 N 3rd Ave, Pasco.
