Richard 'Rick' O. Keith

Richard 'Rick' O. Keith, 67, a resident of Moses Lake was called home by his Lord on Thursday, September 18, 2014 after a long battle with cancer. He was at home surrounded by those who loved him and his two dogs, Pepper and Oreo. He is survived by Sandra Keith, his wife of 45 years, children: Stephanie Keith, Moses Lake; Rebecca Keith, Salem, OR; Jonathan Keith and wife Aimee Keith, Lynnwood, WA; Edward Keith, Moses Lake, and one brother Robert Keith, South Carolina. He was preceded in death by both parents, Raymond and Charlene Keith, and two brothers, Randy Keith and Ronald Keith.

He worked at Columbia Basin Job Corps for over 20 years, teaching and assisting students. After his retirement, he continued to be active in his church and community for as long as he was able. He loved working with youth, serving as a youth leader for the First Baptist Church youth group and assisting Youth Dynamics. He loved his Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ and proclaimed it by serving others. He especially enjoyed singing praises and playing his guitars. He sung in choirs, small groups, and as a soloist. When he was unable to play softball, he became an umpire. He also officiated soccer and basketball. He was a lifelong camper and fisherman.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 27, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church, 724 W. 4th, Moses Lake. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to First Baptist Church Youth Group, Youth Dynamics, or the American Cancer Society.
