ROYAL CITY - New Life Fellowship Church's new pastor, Lance Lewis, and family recently moved here from Texas, and they are making themselves at home.

"My family and I are thrilled to be in Royal City," the pastor said.

The Lewises are from Tyler, which is about 80 miles east of Dallas. Lance attended the University of Texas at Tyler, Southwestern Theological Seminary in Ft Worth and BH Carroll Theological Seminary in Arlington.

"I have been privileged to have served many great churches as a pastor, minister of youth, and minister of education," he said.

Lance and his wife Becky have been married for 20 years and have three children, Hannah, 15, Grace, 14, and Will, 5.

"Over the past year, my family and I have been praying about where the Lord would lead us to serve," the pastor said. "Never did we think it would be Royal City, Washington. Yet, here we are."

"The people in the community and at New Life have been so welcoming and friendly," he added.

Pastor Lance believes in making church simple and relevant. He likes to apply the teachings of the Bible to everyday situations.

"New Life exists for everyone, whether you are just curious about God or have grown up in a church," the pastor said. "New Life is a great place for your family to come, find community and worship God."
