Community blood drive in Royal City

ROYAL CITY - The Royal Community service project in remembrance of 9/11 will be a Red Cross blood drive next month.

The blood drive will be held at the New Life church at 117 Camelia Street in Royal City on Thursday, Oct. 2, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. The blood drive will be sponsored by the community's churches.

Early sign up is important so the Red Cross can determine how many workers to bring for a smooth, shorter experience. You may sign up at your church or many of the business down town.

One unit of blood can save the lives of up to three people, but usually it takes several units to save one life.
