SOAP LAKE — A man from Moses Lake died on Sunday after a collision on his motorcycle.

Richard Hathaway, 68, of Moses Lake, was driving a 2001 Honda Motorcycle south on state Route 17, about one mile south of Soap Lake. That is when he collided with a 2013 KIA Soul driven by James Budd, 46, of Ephrata, who was driving east on Road 19 Northeast.

Budd reportedly failed to yield at the Road 19 and the SR 17 intersection, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Hathaway was pronounced dead at the scene.
