ROYAL CITY - Hundreds of parents and students attended the annual Red Rock Elementary open house last Thursday evening.

Families visited classrooms, toured the school and stopped by to visit with the Royal School District Parent Teacher Organization.

Some Teachers had set up classroom (or school) scavenger hunts while others had treats and examples of student work displayed, or any other combination of personal touches.

"All Red Rock teachers and staff were happy to see so many parents attend," Counselor Nicole Dunn said. "They see it is an important opportunity to meet and chat with students' families."

Dunn noted the Parent Teacher Organization set up a table at the school entrance to provide a convenient opportunity for parents to ask about the PTO and sign up as members.

PTO members unveiled the new shirt design available for sale to support Royal Schools and the PTO. It provided the order forms for those interested in purchasing a shirt (long or short sleeved), sweatshirts, or sweatpants in adult and youth sizes.

"Parents with really little ones can even purchase a Royal Onesie," Dunn said.

"All in all, it was a great turnout, and we look forward to seeing even more families attend next year;' she added.
