MOSES LAKE — The Moses Lake Business Association’s Art and Wine Walk is returning to downtown Moses Lake in a few weeks.

This is the third year the association has hosted the event, which brings local businesses, artists and wineries and breweries together in one place. The 2014 walk takes place from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 11.

MLBA director Jasmyne DeBeaumont said interest in the walk has grown since they’ve hosted the first one.

“Last year, we doubled in numbers,” she said. “We’ve had a goodresponse from the public.”

DeBeaumont said the concept of the walk is simple, participants pick up their tasting glasses and maps in Sinkiuse Square the day of the event and spend the next few hours visiting the participating businesses.

Each business features a different artist and winery or brewery, she said. Some of the participating businesses this year include Bumbleberry’s, Third and Alder Salon, ArtGarden and Michael’s Bistro.

“We’ve got quite a list going,” DeBeaumont said.

There will also be businesses set up in Sinkiuse Square during the walk, she said.

When people finish the walk, they can come back to Sinkiuse Square where they will be entered to win raffle prizes as well.

“It’s just a lot of fun, people can see local artists, get into the local businesses and try something new,” said DeBeaumont.

She also said participants get to keep their tasting glass, which was made just for the walk.
