Wesley J. Maddicks, 91, a longtime Moses Lake resident and retired minister, was welcomed into Heaven on Sunday, September 7, 2014. He was residing at McKonnin Adult Care Home. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. till 5 p.m., Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Kayser's Chapel. Vault interment will be in Zillah City Cemetery on Wednesday, September 10, in Zillah,Washington. A celebration and remembering of his life to be held at 11a.m., Saturday, September 13th at New Beginnings Christian Center, located at 318 W. Northshore Dr. with Pastor Skip Bennett, officiating. Wes was born in Tacoma, Washington on September 25, 1922 son of Harry and Winifred (Walters) Maddicks, and was married to Marjean in 1947 after which they had a son Jerry Maddicks, and daughter, Sharon. After the death of Marjean in 2000, he then married Lois Jean Culbertson who remained his loving wife up until his death. He graduated from Northwest Bible Institute (now Northwest University) in Kirkland. He and his wife Marjean pastored various Assembly of God churches through the years including in Mabton, Washington, Karthage, Missouri, Warm Beach, Washington, Capalis Crossing, Washington and his last church in Toppenish, Washington. Wesley was heavily involved in the founding of New Beginnings Christian Center of Moses Lake. He always loved his Lord Jesus Christ, always asking every waitress who ever served him "do you know Jesus loves you". He committed to memory much of the Bible and was much loved by family and friends and all who knew him throughout his life.

Wesley is survived by his wife, Jean Maddicks, daughter, Sharon Seltz, granddaughters Jamie, Jodi, Jessica and Gina, great grandchildren, Allie, Jasmine, Maiya, Lily, Mason, Jada, and Tristan.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, first wife, Marjean, brother, Sam, sister, Mildred, son, Jerry, daughter-in-law, Lois, grandchildren, Timothy, Rachel, Alisha. He will be greatly missed.
