Patriot Day blood drive on Thursday

| September 10, 2014 6:00 AM

MATTAWA - Those of you wanting to do something meaningful to memorialize the victims of the bombing of New York City on Sept. 11, 2001, should consider giving blood.

You can donate blood to those who may need it now or down the road because of injury or illness at the Gift of Life: 9/11 Patriot Day Community Blood Drive.

This service project will go from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Saddle Mountain Elementary School. The goal is more than 120 blood donors.

For an appointment call Daneen Christensen at 932-4420. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments help with the flow of things, Christensen said.
