Rober Kelly of Moses Lake caught this nice crappie fishing off the dock at MarDon Resort.

Potholes Reservoir provides an opportunity during September to enjoy a great family fishing trip. Bank fishers and boat fishers are catching Jumbo Perch and Crappie with Bluegill up to 9 inches. We are enjoying simply cool nights and pleasantly warm days so far in September. Due to the colder night time temperatures the Walleye are starting their fall feeding frenzy.

Bass anglers are reporting many smallmouth catches in the Lind Coulee arm of Potholes Reservoir. They are also catching some smallmouth between Goose Island and O'Sullivan Dam. The Largemouth are showing at the face of the sand dunes and in the Crab Creek Channel. As always when boating the sand dunes this time of year use extreme caution.
