Jim and Barb moved to Moses Lake in 1962 when Jim got hired on with the Moses Lake Fire Dept. Jim worked for the Fire Department for his entire career before retiring as captain after 36 years.

When he wasn't working, his favorite past time was boating with friends from the Moses Lake Yacht Club. They traveled every summer throughout the San Juan Islands and up in to Canada. Some of his favorite places were Lake Chelan and Lake Roosevelt. The memories of his boating trips and dear friends he met on the water were memories he enjoyed talking about.

After Jim Retired in 1998 he found another new Love, Arizona. He and Barb enjoyed wintering in Arizona every year in their Rv. Fall couldn't get here fast enough for him. He enjoyed Silly Mountain every morning with his friend Phil and his afternoon game of golf.

Jim was preceded in death by his mother and father, his sister Ruth Marie, Son Craig and daughter in law Teresa.

He is survived by his wife Barbara, Son Michael & (Krista) Hamilton, Brother Bob &(Bev) Hamilton, Grandsons Jordan & (Holli) Hamilton, Derek Hamilton, Taylor Hamilton and great grandkids Baylee, Harlee and Kinlee.

Jim was known to many as Mr. Wonderful. No matter how he felt or what the circumstances, when asked how he was his response was always "wonderful!" Jim was always positive, happy and joy to be around. His politeness was only outdone by his willingness to help anyone when called upon. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. We love and miss you!
