Beverly Ann Mickle-English

Beverly Ann Mickle-English, 77, long-time Royal Slope resident passed away Friday, August 29, 2014 in Prineville, Oregon. Her funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Royal City Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Tim Snyder officiating. Interment for family members will follow at Royal Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel and Crematory, Moses Lake - www.kayserschapel.com.

Beverly was born December 20, 1936 in Lynden, Washington, daughter of Hugo and Angelyn (VanKley) VanBinsbergen. In her early years, Beverly's family farmed in Lynden, Granger, Okanogan, and eventually moved to Minnesota, where she graduated from Boyd High School in 1953. She was married to Ronald Mickle on November 26, 1955 in Montevideo, MN. Within the first year of their marriage they moved to the Columbia Basin to pursue farming opportunities, settling in Quincy. They moved to the Royal Slope in 1959, where the family farm still resides. Beverly and Ronald had four children. She was a homemaker and had many talents, such as painting, gardening, interior design and writing poetry which she won several awards for. She loved to sew for family and friends, making dolls, quilts, clothes and stuffed animals. She was a joy to be around with her witty sense of humor and contagious laugh. She had a love for Great Danes and enjoyed spending time with her kitties. Beverly retired in 1998 with a career of more than 20 years as the Clerk for the City of Royal City and working as a bookkeeper for Jet Farms. Beverly was a member of the Royal City Church of the Nazarene where she was a lay-minister, board member and a Sunday school teacher. She was a strong Christian woman that was the rock and foundation of the faith of her family. She spent many hours volunteering at the local senior center, food bank and was on the Royal City Farm Housing Board of Directors for many years. Beverly was an EMT and volunteered for the Royal City Ambulance for eight years.

Beverly married Jimmie English on September 20, 2008. She enjoyed traveling across the United States with Jim visiting with family and seeing the National and State Parks. They attended church camp on numerous occasions and were members of the Church of Christ in Prineville. Beverly liked going thrift shopping and finding items to make into treasures. She trusted in the good of others and thoroughly enjoyed life. She loved spending time fixing up her new home in Oregon where she and Jim moved to in April of 2014. Beverly will be deeply missed.

Beverly is survived by her husband Jimmie English; three children and spouses, Randy and Shawn Mickle, Richland, WA, Bryan and Jerri Mickle, Ephrata, WA, and Teresa and Joe Scroggins, Florence, MT; one brother, John VanBinsbergen, Jeffersonville, IN; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald Mickle, her son Leland Mickle, her mother and father Hugo and Angelyn VanBinsbergen, and great-grandson Drake Mickle.
