Patriot Day blood drive planned at fire station

MATTAWA - If you're wanting to do something meaningful on Patriot Day, Sept. 11, here's an idea.

You can donate blood to those who may need it down the road because of injury or illness at the Gift of Life: 9/11 Patriot Day Community Blood Drive.

This service project, sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, will go from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. at the Grant County Fire District No. 8 Station in Mattawa.

The goal is more than 120 blood donors.
