Didier took the high road.

| October 31, 2014 6:00 AM

The Dan Newhouse campaign has taken the withdrawal of Clint Didier's lawsuit to claim some kind of victory and called the suit baseless and frivolous. In fact, the basis for the suit was absolute fact, as the Director of the Washington State Potato Commission, Chris Voigt admitted. Clint filed the suit to stop that illegal activity and in that he succeeded. Clint also knew that in the long haul suing an organization that represents many of his friends and neighbors was a no-win situation. He took the high road and withdrew the very justifiable lawsuit after it had accomplished its goal of shutting down Mr Voigt. I'm sure we'll hear more from the WA State elections commission on this matter later.

The Newhouse campaign has been one of the dirtiest I have ever seen with false accusations about Clint Didier's positions on Social Security and Hanford cleanup and now this lawsuit. Clint has responded with an accusation of Newhouse being a liar, never a pretty defense, but his accusations were true, The Newhouse campaign has lied repeatedly.

If his behavior during this campaign is an indicator of the kind of man Dan Newhouse is, I don't think he's the kind of man we want representing us in the 4th district.

I am deeply saddened to see the campaign between two Republicans fall to this level. We will need to come together at sometime in the future to combat our true nemesis the rampant socialism being served up by Liberal Democrats and the all out war, take no prisoners campaign run by the Newhouse group will not make that an easy reconciliation.
