| October 30, 2014 9:30 AM

MOSES LAKE — Moses Lake High School and Chief Moses Middle school are on a modified lockdown after a male student became agitated as he was walking out of school.

The student was suspended and reportedly became angry and agitated as he was being walked out of the school, according to MLHS principal Josh Meek.

No direct threats were made to students or staff.

A modified lockdown entails the classroom doors being closed and locked during classes, with students and staff being asked to stay in their classrooms during class.

Lunch and dismissal are still on their regular schedule, said Meek.

School resources officers will notify the police department if further assistance is required, said Moses Lake Police Department captain David Sands.
