Howard Lawrence Jensen 03/11/1930 - 10/23/2014

Born 03/11/1930 in Ogden Utah  to Louis and Clara Jensen

Happy 66th Wedding  Anniversary  My Darling,  I'm home with you again, Our true love story still continues in our eternal life together.  We couldn't imagine one without the other.

Raised in Hammond Oregon he grew up in a military environment by Fort Stevens during WWII.  While in school he participated in many sports and was the star athlete in every one of them, from baseball, basketball and football.  He fell madly in love while attending Warrenton High School with his darling of his  life, Bernice Ivarie.  He graduated in 1948 and began his working life in road construction.

His story is the same as his wife's, the love of family was of the utmost importance.  Teaching every child &  grandchild to love, and respect one another and to laugh till you pee your pants.

Daddy's demeanor was extremely well respected by everyone who ever encountered him.  His honesty, integrity, morals and work ethics were above and beyond  any man we've ever known.  He was such a "Man of God" his faith was undeniable, sharing the love of God with all.

Work was such an important piece of his being a "workaholic", never late, always early, a prime example of what others should be.  Many people that worked for him speak that he was a wonderful teacher and mentor and would want to be just like him.  Working in refrigeration all his life he worked for Pt Adams Fish Cannery, Cascade Meat Company, Blue Lake Packers, Othello Ice and Cold Storage, Carnation, Chef Reddy for Pete Taggarres which was then purchased by McCain Foods, retiring in 1996. They then traveled the countryside, side by side in their RV.

A very competitive man everyone who knew him called him "Coach".  He coached men's softball for more than 10 years earning the State Title in 1986.  His other interests included, bowling, golf, lawn darts, horseshoes, and best of all cribbage (he still kicked our butts till the very end).

Daddy you were our life, our love, our hero. Until we meet again. ...
