Lee is best choice for prosecutor

| October 24, 2014 6:00 AM

While conducting more research on the competency and/or management of the Grant County Prosecutor's Office, I discovered: Angus Lee manages a 30-person staff and no one on his current staff has filed a complaint against him. They all work well together. He manages a $2.5 million dollar budget and has stayed within budget. Angus personally prosecuted well over 1,000 cases, including complex trials for the most serious crimes. He personally tries more cases annually, when compared to other elected prosecutors in the state of Washington. Angus has a 90 percent success rate for his jury trials being higher than the state average. It's pretty clear, by his successful over achievements, he is genuinely dedicated to his services as our elected prosecutor.

Angus was publicly demeaned by his current opponent for wearing his "Purple Heart." I say wear it whenever you want and wear it proudly. I am confident every American veteran and solider who has served in protecting our freedom do agree with me.

What I can't find is all these cases Garth Dano claims to have taken to trial. What I did further find is everyone of the cases handled by Garth resulted in a resolution before trial.

Let's be real this election. Everything I am finding overwhelmingly concludes: Angus Lee is the best choice to continue serving the people of Grant County as our elected prosecutor.
