Check out Dano's endorsement list

| October 24, 2014 6:00 AM

It's a distinct advantage to have lived in the same community for almost 45 years. Especially when evaluating certain things and certain people. The letters to the editor is a real eye opener in some respect, especially if you've known of some people who are writing the letter.

I've been truly surprised by the reaction of "some" people regarding the release of Mr. Dano's traffic citations and other things. Really? I do not know who any of the Grant County Concerned Voters are, but does it really matter who they are? As all the information that was released is a matter of public record and the truth! Calling it sleazy, dishonest and a personal attack is rather strange. When a person runs for a trusted public office, shouldn't they be above reproach and have clean hands?

It was stated that Mr. Dano is the only one who has run a clean campaign. I would be willing to bet a dollar to a hole in a donut - if Mr. Lee had had the same driving record + other personal history - as Mr. Dano - it would of been plastered all over for all to see! But, Mr. Lee does have clean hands and he has nothing negative in his background!

On Oct. 17, 2014, the Columbia Basin Herald published an article entitled "Residents file PDC complaint about Dano endorsement list." A former state senator, Joyce Mulliken, and others stated Mr. Dano listed them as supporters, which they were not. Their names were listed in a political ad and a Facebook post. Mr. Dano stated it was "an innocent mistake." They also had to remove at least two people's names who were deceased!

Garth Dano's endorsement list was published Oct. 10. Maybe you should check and see if your name is on it. Don't still have that issue? Go to the Herald and see it!
