A message from the 'Democratic underground'

| October 18, 2014 6:00 AM

Hello Republicans, this is from a member of the Democratic underground in the Columbia Basin. Yes we are out here, more of us than you think. Unfortunately we choose to stay underground so our signs don't get stolen, or our windows busted or just plain yelled at because of our politics. It's hard to believe that with all the backstabbing going on between Didier and Newhouse, and Dano and Lee, that I would even consider voting for any of you. Is this how you are going to act in D.C. and the courtroom? I hate to use the word pathetic, but it is what it is. As one of your constituents, I want some answers, not just right wing talking points. What are you going to replace my Affordable Health Care with? I am really underemployed since getting let go from a 15-year job two years ago. I need my health insurance. What about minimum wage, unemployment extensions, passing an infastructure jobs bill, tax breaks to the super wealthy (i.e. big oil and pharmacy), passing a background check on your precious guns, climate change, and the big one, would you vote to get us into another war and how are you going to pay for it? These are just a few issues but there are many more. And just to lighten this up a but, what do you all think of letting farmers grow hemp again, one of the most versatile crops on the planet. I can just see a hamp sock factory going up on Wheeler Road, lots of jobs, tax money and save the planet. Win, win, win.
