MOSES LAKE - Grant County Health District officials announced they will be permanently closing its Ephrata office at the end of this month.

The district will move all of its Ephrata-based staff and services to its Moses Lake location on West Ivy Street effective noon on Oct. 30, according to a recent agency statement.

While the Ephrata office hosted its final food handler card class earlier this week, classes at the Moses Lake office will continue to be offered on Thursdays at 9 a.m. and 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. Spanish-language classes are at 10 a.m. the same day.

Residents can also access the online food handler card class 24/7. Information is available on the district's website at www.granthealth.org.

Until the Ephrata office closes, hours of operation are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the exception of the noon lunch hour, Monday through Thursday. The Moses Lake office also operates on the same schedule.

Adult immunization clinics at the Moses Lake office take place on Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m. TB clinics are also offered on Tuesdays from 9 to 11 a.m. as well as from 1 to 4 p.m.

For more information, contact the Moses Lake office at 509-766-7960.

Health District officials were unavailable for comment as of press time.
