Voters in the 13th district face an atypical situation in the race for State Representative this year: both candidates prefer the Republican Party.

This is actually a blessing, since we cannot blindly choose the candidate with the (R) or the (D) behind the name. We must dig deep and study hard in order to pick the best advocate for us in Olympia. My research and personal experiences point to Tom Dent.

Tom will work tirelessly in Olympia to protect the things that are sacred to Central Washington and the 13th district. His stance on issues such as water rights, personal property rights, the economy, and law enforcement are truly in line with keeping this area not only prosperous, farmer-friendly, and attractive to new businesses, but also safe to establish a home, raise families, or retire.

Tom is also tired of the bickering and fighting between political parties. He feels strongly that the gap should be bridged and aims to strive for better harmony between the legislators of this state.

I've served my community with Tom in our hometown of Moses Lake and have witnessed firsthand his honesty, enthusiasm, and commitment to everything he stands for.
