VOTE GARTH DANO

| October 15, 2014 6:00 AM

Complies with ethical rules

Compliance with ethical rules is one of the most basic obligations of all lawyers, and especially a prosecuting attorney, who serves as the chief law enforcement official in the county.

The current Grant County Prosecutor, Angus Lee, has been charged with unethical conduct by the Washington State Bar Association. At Mr. Lee's insistence, Grant County taxpayers have paid $92,402.88 to date for a lawyer to defend Mr. Lee in these disciplinary proceedings.

Mr. Lee has also been disqualified from prosecuting a case by a superior court judge, again based on unethical conduct. The bar association and courts have done their part to respond to Mr. Lee's conduct. Now it is time for the voters to elect a new prosecutor.

Garth Dano has been recognized by the state bar association, judges, and the National Crime Victims Law Institute (among others) for his legal ability and integrity, and I urge everyone to vote for him.
