Moses Lake police catch two men after chase

MOSES LAKE - After a short chase, the Moses Lake Police Department was able to apprehend two men from Moses Lake on Thursday.

At 9 a.m., officers spotted Ryan Vinson, 22, and Joshua Brown, 23, both of Moses Lake, in a 2004 Suzuki XL7.

An officer recognized Vinson as having a felony warrant out for his arrest, as well as being a suspect in vehicle prowls and frauds, according to Capt. Dave Sands.

As the officer turned his patrol car to make a stop on the vehicle, the vehicle sped off.

They drove for about four blocks, from Ironwood Drive and Canterbury Lane, to the upper parking lot of Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake.

At the parking lot, they abandoned the vehicle and attempted to run away from police.

The men were arrested and booked into the Grant County Jail.

Vinson was arrested and booked on suspicion of first-degree criminal impersonation, second-degree theft, third-degree possession of stolen property, second-degree vehicle prowling, firearm theft, attempting to elude, hit and run of an unattended vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Vinson also had two warrants.

Brown was arrested and booked on suspicion first-degree criminal impersonation, second-degree theft, third-degree possession of stolen property, second-degree vehicle prowling, firearm theft and two GCDC warrants.
