Fresh News from MarDon
As we continue to enjoy magnificent weather in Central-Eastern Washington our fishers are reporting wonderful success trolling for walleye and jumbo perch (many limits).
We are already seeing limits of walleye taken with blade baits, jigging in water 8-35 feet deep. These conditions theoretically will only improve with cooler temperatures.
Bank fishing at Medicare Beach has been producing rainbow trout to 5.5 pounds using power bait. Smallmouth bass continue to be readily available along the face of O'Sullivan Dam.
With the water-level still relatively low, in its typical fall posture, the sand dunes are challenging to navigate for boaters. Largemouth bass are being caught simply fishing the points of sand dunes on the main body of Potholes Reservoir. Tom Regney, longtime customer of MarDon, had one of his best bass fishing days on the reservoir in 20 years.
He caught and released over 50 largemouth bass fishing the points off the sand dunes. The MarDon Fishing Dock has been really great for Perch Fishing all day.
The crappie have been showing early and late in the day mainly with our recent full moon.
We have had one angler catch and release a limit of walleye off the dock this week.
