| October 8, 2014 6:00 AM

Jerry Lee Brumet passed away unexpectedly, yet peacefully, at his home in Birch Bay, Washington, on September 29, 2014, at the age of 63. He is survived by his wife, Linda Spray Brumet. They were married on November 27, 2009.

Jerry was born in Payette, ID, on June 5, 1951. His family moved to Moses Lake, where his father was employed by U&I Sugar. He graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1969. Jerry lived and worked in Moses Lake until 1989 when he moved to Ferndale, WA.

While in Moses Lake, he worked for American Potato Co., Jack's Bargain Barn, and Roth Distributing. After moving to Western Washington, he worked for a number of businesses, always in customer service, which was his passion. At the time of his death, he was employed at Nature's Path in Blaine.

Jerry will be most remembered for his humor and joyful spirit. He was a man that you wanted to sit next to and share stories with. He always had a new one and couldn't wait to tell you.

Many will also remember his days as an avid member of Columbia Basin Sand Commandos. Jerry had a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed time on his boat, fishing and crabbing in the bay.

Jerry is also lovingly remembered by his family; son, Jamie (Libby) Brumet and granddaughter, Kendal, of Spokane; daughter, McKenzie Brumet of Pullman; sister, Donna (Dan) Anderson of Spokane; brothers Chuck (Vicki) Brumet of Moses Lake, and Brent (Kim) of Temple, Texas; and former wife Nancy Harris of Spokane, and former wife Carol Brumet of Ferndale. He has many nieces and nephews who loved him and will miss him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Webb Brumet, Juanita Brumet Allen, and step-father Ethan Allen.

A memorial service will be held at Kayser's Chapel of Memories, Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 10:00 AM. There will be a celebration of life gathering for family and friends following the service. Arrangements are in care of Kayser's Chapel & Crematory. Condolences for the family may be offered online at kayserschapel.com.
