Hipolito C. 'Smitty' Smith, a Moses Lake resident passed away Friday October 3, 2014 at Mckay Healthcare and Rehab Center. Holy Rosary will be prayed at 2 p.m., Thursday, October 9th at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 p.m. Viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, October 8th at Kayser's Chapel. Smitty was born October 18, 1928 to Hipolito C. Smith Sr. & Elvira Navarro in Pearsall Texas. He was married to Gloria Chavana in 1965, and they moved to Odessa, Washington with their five children. Smitty enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially with his grandchildren. He also loved watching football, rooting for his favorite teams the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns.

Smitty is survived by his two sisters Juanita Sanchez and Felipa Salazar of Texas, his five children Tony Smith of Newborn GA, Frank Smith of Seattle WA, Leland Smith of Fruitland WA, Chuck Smith of Spokane WA, and Jean Mills of Moses Lake WA. His ten grandchildren Ashleigh, Samantha, Jackie, Lindsey, Harlee, Jada, Blake, Taryn, Alex, Maddie, and one Great Grand Child Mazy.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hipolito Sr. and Elvira, his loving wife Gloria Smith and his siblings Bill Smith, Joe Smith, Magerita Perez, Bessie Lucio, Connie Martinez, Helen Rodriguez, and Elvira Molina.
