MOSES LAKE - Boys and Girls Club supporters dressed in spooky costumes to help support the organization's programs during Saturday's Monster Mash Ball.

Most participants got into the mood by wearing zombie, monster or other scary outfits while supporting the area's children who use the club's afterschool programs.

The event included a catered meal, Horse Race raffle, Diamond Draw, wine and micro-brew beer tasting and live, silent and almost live auctions held at Big Bend Community College's ATEC building.

The auctioned items included a week-long vacation to the 2015 Super Bowl in Las Vegas, a catered barbecue meal for 25, raft trips, golf packages, vacations to Mexico, Spokane and Birch Bay, landscaping services, Washington State University football and Seattle Mariner baseball packages and even a hedgehog with a cage.

Club Director of Operations Michele Dano-Rodriguez said the event was a huge success and thanked the many sponsors who helped fund and organize the event.

Bob Trask, of Moses Lake-based Trask Insurance, served as emcee for the evening.

The total money raised at the event was not available at press time.
