Single Votes Count!

| October 3, 2014 6:00 AM

Some people do not vote because they think "a single vote doesn't count." Suppose an election was held, and no one voted! What would the election office do?

Every ballot counts, as do the votes. We, the People, send a message to our elected representatives (Note: I did not write "rulers") with every ballot cast. If we do not vote, we are nothing more than "sheeple" being lead to a slaughter house.

If a district has 20,000 people who could be registered, but only 10,000 register, then those not registered are nothing more than slaves to the ruling elite! If 5,000 of those registered don't vote, aren't they also slaves?

Of the 5,000 who do cast ballots, what if there are only 500 votes for a given office? Do people understand the importance of that office? Schools used to teach "civics" but no longer. The "ruling elite" doesn't want an educated public.

A person doesn't need to vote for every office and proposition. A ballot sent with nothing checked sends a message, "None of the above!" That is far stronger than "I don't care enough to vote."

We have a duty to educate ourselves and control our government, or suffer the consequences. Single votes count! Our Constitution gives us the Right and Duty to control our government.

Your single vote counts! Not voting says "you don't care what the government does to you!"
