Seed Cupboard Fall Festival coming this weekend

ROYAL CITY - The annual Fall Festival and Vintage Faire will be held this weekend, Oct. 4-5, at the Seed Cupboard Nursery just west of Royal City at 12543 Road H SW.

The Seed Cupboard Nursery Fall Festival and Vintage Faire will go from 9 p.m.-6 p.m. both days. In addition to the Seed Cupboard Nursery and the Garden Grill, there will be numerous other vendors.

Garden Grill, operated by Danielle Smith and her crew, will be serving hamburgers, sandwiches, homemade chips and ice cream all day. At the same time, the Seed Cupboard Nursery will have fall sales throughout the nursery and barn.

Fun things to do will include the Scarecrow Contest. Some of the entries for visitors to check out will come from Splash & Dash Car Wash, Verhey Peaches, Garden Grill, Mack's Mocha, Kris's Skin Care Studio, Eldorado Stone, Subway, SHOC, US Bank and City of Royal City.

It's not too late to enter your business Scarecrow in the Festival. Just give Lisa Villegas a call at 509-989-0428. Individuals will also be entering scarecrows.

"It's always fun to see the creativity they come up with," Villegas said.

All entries must be at the nursery no later than 5 p.m. on Friday Oct. 3.

Super Sister's Pumpkins will bring all shapes, sizes and colors of pumpkins and gourds to the festival. They will bring their Pumpkin Cannon, which can launch pumpkins as far as 100 yards.

New to the Festival this year is a Kids' Straw Maze and Hay Ride to the Pumpkin Patch.

Dazzling Disguises will be on hand. Rhae Flores will be doing her amazing face painting Saturday only.

Jessica Greenfield Photography will be available to help you set and take beautiful fall pictures.

De'Layed Chic will back. The Delay women will be bringing a great assortment of vintage, repurposed and unique fall items.

Painted Petal will be here. Joleen Ervin will be bringing her repurposed and vintage items.

Lotties Shoppe, operated by Angie Gilbert, will bring her beautiful handmade children's items Saturday only.

"A few local artists will bring some of their works," Villegas said. "With the Pumpkin Cannon, along with the face painting and fall photos, it should be a fun day for everyone. You won't want to miss this. It will be a fun-filled weekend."
