CITY OF KAHLOTUS PUBLIC HEARING FOR REVIEW OF PROPOSED APPLICATIONS FOR PLANNING AND CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES FOR A WASTEWATER FACILITIES PLANNING DOCUMENT AND PROJECT.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held by the City of Kahlotus at Town Hall located at E 130 Weston, Kahlotus, WA 99335 at 6:00 PM on October 15, 2014.

The purpose of the public hearing is:

1. Review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state CDBG and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons in Kahlotus. Up to $24,000 may be available to the City of Kahlotus to fund a planning project that principally benefit low-and-moderate income persons.

2. Review community development and housing needs, inform citizens of the availability of funds and eligible uses of the state CDBG and receive comments on proposed activities, particularly from lower income persons in Kahlotus. Up to $750,000 may be available to the City of Kahlotus on a statewide competitive basis to fund projects.

An outline for the proposed application, planning activities and proposed Wastewater Facilities Improvement Projects for the City of Kahlotus will be available for review at the Kahlotus Town Hall, E 130 Weston, Kahlotus, WA 99335. Comments may also be submitted in writing to the Kahlotus City Council by October 15, 2014 at 5:00 PM.

Kahlotus City Hall is handicap accessible. Arrangements to reasonably accommodate special needs, including handicap accessibility or interpreter, will be make upon receiving twenty-four (24) hours advance notice.
