Community can help Serve Moses Lake this weekend

| October 2, 2014 8:03 AM

MOSES LAKE — Serve Moses Lake will host a community collection drive this Friday and Saturday to get some much-needed items for individuals and families in need this winter.

Organization director Tim Cloyd said volunteers will be at the Moses Lake Safeway from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both days. They’re looking for non-food items, such as shampoo and conditioner, toothpaste, laundry detergent and toilet paper, and winter gear, including jackets, hats and blankets, he said.

The items will then be distributed to people who seek assistance from Serve Moses Lake, said Cloyd.
